Welcome to the new home for the North Texas Chapter of US Lacrosse (USLNTX).
USLNTX sponsors a number of Lacrosse events throughout the year (e. g. Halloween Shootout, Holiday Tournament, and Patriot Cup). In addition, the North Texas Youth Lacrosse League is a sub-committee of the chapter and sponsors a Spring Lacrosse season for North Texas youth in grades first through eight. This season starts in the February timeframe and concludes with Championship games at various levels in early May.

| Stipend for volunteers at Central Regionals in Arlington | | |
by
posted 05/10/2012
The US Lacrosse Special Events Department has proposed a great initiative that will not only bring more support to US Lacrosse events within your area, but also give back to your Chapter. US Lacrosse would like to provide your Chapter with a stipend in return for volunteer assistance at the Central Regional Championship in Arlington in June. The following has been proposed:
-
The Chapter will provide at least ten (10) volunteers to assist with scorekeeping and timekeeping during the length of the Central Regional Championship. In return, US Lacrosse will give back the Chapter $10/per game provided with a volunteer (the monies will go toward the Chapter, not the individual).
-
Once a final schedule is completed, a representative from the Special Events Department will e-mail the schedule in which the Chapter’s Volunteer organizer will slot individuals.
-
Once the schedule is slotted with volunteers, the Chapter’s Volunteer organizer will e-mail the schedule back to the Special Events Department along with each individual’s contact information (name, email and phone).
Other information about this event includes:
Location: Arlington, TX
Venue: Harold Patterson Sports Complex
Dates: June 8-10, 2012
Times Needed (subject to change):
-
Friday – 4:00pm-7:00pm
-
Saturday – 8:00am-6:00pm
-
Sunday – 9:00am-2:00pm
Thank you so much for your willingness to participate in this new initiative. We look forward to working with you in Arlington. Please contact Shannon Minter at
to take advantage of this unique opportunity. |

posted 04/22/2012 Dear US Lacrosse Members,
America's first mainstream lacrosse movie is finally here! CROOKED ARROWS is opening in select cities on May 18 and nationwide on June 1!
We’re proud to see the sport we love portrayed in such a fun, authentic and respectful way on the big screen. We think CROOKED ARROWS will have a positive and lasting impact on the growth of lacrosse in the United States. We support this movie – and we're asking that you please support it, too.
Together, let's make sure that our lacrosse community rallies enthusiastically behind what's poised to become a landmark event in the growth of lacrosse!
Here's what you can do to help:
(1) Plan a Group or Team "Event" for Opening Weekend, May 18th! ß click here for group sales
May is a competitive month for movies (it's when major studios release their summer blockbusters with $100 million marketing budgets). However, the filmmakers feel it's important to release CROOKED ARROWS during lacrosse season, so that whole teams can share the positive experience together as an "event." Let's send a message to theater owners that lacrosse has a loyal and passionate fan base who wants to see this movie!
(2) Please Send This Message to Everyone in Your Network! ß click here for ways to share the movie
Believe it or not, many people in the lacrosse community still haven't even heard of CROOKED ARROWS. We must make sure that everyone knows about this movie: coaches, teams, players (past and present), families and even lacrosse-friendly businesses.
Lacrosse has always been more than a great sport. It's a meaningful way for communities, families, and friends to come together. In keeping with that positive spirit, let's make CROOKED ARROWS a fun team-building experience, potential fundraising opportunity, and community-wide "event."
Please join us in supporting America's first lacrosse movie on opening weekend May 18 with your team, family, friends and peers. Find a CROOKED ARROWS theater near you.
See you at the movies!
Thanks,
Lane Errington
